Organisation & Governance
Structures Of The Charity
The charity has a clear and accountable governance structure.
The twelve Charity Members delegate responsibility for decision making to the Board of Trustees – collectively meeting once a year at an AGM. The charity is then governed through the Board of Trustees; two Assurance Committees with specialist working groups; and a Senior Management Team. This system provides forums for discussion, measurement, assessment and reflection, is ensuring a clear line of reporting and accountability, maintaining clarity and transparency.
Such an approach will also ensure that resources are managed and available so that the work the charity undertakes is distinct and to a high quality. This will in turn be reflected to our partners, funders, supporters and service users, and help to establish the work of the charity as being of a quality and professionalism which will encourage future support and engagement.
Over the current year, this structure has undergone review and development – including consolidation of the roles and responsibilities of some of the sub-committees. By the end of this financial year, a final structure had been agreed which will be implemented in the new financial year.
