What We Do
How You Can Help
December 5, 2018
God of all people whatever their circumstances,
who loves us because of our humanity and in spite of our humanity.
We pray today for all those who are homeless, who have nowhere to lay their head.
We pray for inspirational individuals and organisations that intervene to bring hope in difficult circumstances.
For the work of Methodist Action North West and other charities seeking to challenge those who claim full humanity in the face of those who deny support to their fellow women and men.
We bring to you the challenges face by these organisations.
Their need for funding, in the face of growing cutbacks.
The battle for recognition and the weight they bear in dealing with the complex mess humans create.
As we meet our Living Saviour in our advent preparations, may we remember that he was born a homeless infant of an unconventional family that became refugees.
Make us bold to the Challenge to serve him as he serves us.
